The holey dollar was Australia's first currency. Spanish pieces of 8 (pillar dollars) had the centre stamped from them. The centre became a dump and the outside became the holey dollar. The coins in these pendants are copies and were used as props on the Australian motion pictures 'Robbery Under Arms' and 'Where the Rivers Run'. The real holey dollars cost several hundred thousand dollars. The coin has been set with Sterling Silver.
